GOFAST is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1. Each release automatically converts to the Apache License 2.0 four years after publication — no perpetual lock-in. Baumeler IT Consulting (CHE-407.540.914) is the licensor.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my data hosted?
Managed instances run on Exoscale in Switzerland, operated by Baumeler IT Consulting (a Swiss company, CHE-407.540.914). Your planning data does not leave Switzerland; backups are stored encrypted on Swiss object storage.
How does the free trial work?
Every Managed subscription starts with a 14-day free trial with all features and up to 5 team members. A payment method is required to start; the first charge happens only after the trial ends, and the member cap lifts automatically. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
Are there backups?
Yes — every instance is backed up nightly to encrypted, off-site Swiss storage, with a retention of 14 daily and 8 weekly snapshots. You can additionally export a full backup of your data yourself at any time from Settings → Data.
What happens if I cancel?
Your instance stops at the end of the paid period. We keep your data for 30 days after that — resubscribe within that window and we restore your workspace exactly as you left it. After 30 days the data is permanently deleted. Manage or cancel your subscription any time via the customer portal — sign in with your account email.
Can I move to self-hosting later?
Yes. Export your full data from the app, and run GOFAST on your own infrastructure under an Enterprise licence — get in touch and we help with the move.
